Dr. Tammy Portolese is a caring, highly motivated professional who has been serving the needs of the North Penn and surrounding community since 1997. As a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Life University in Marietta, Georgia, Dr. Portolese’s areas of advanced training include Motion Palpation and Extremity Adjusting. However, while attending this prestigious university, she also enjoyed teaching CPR and First Aid to doctors and her peers. In her current practice, Dr. Portolese enjoys working with patients of all ages, and her special interests focus upon adjusting children, families, and athletes. One day, she aspires to become a team doctor for an athletic organization.

Because Dr. Portolese is a dedicated life-long learner, she continues to practice the most advanced work in chiropractic today. The technique she utilizes is called Chiropractic Biophysics or CBP. This effective method works by correcting poor posture and restoring the natural curves in the spine in order to maintain optimal health. Dr. Portolese also uses Diversified, Extremity Adjusting, the Impulse instrument and kinesiotaping. Moreover, in order to meet the needs of all her patients, the doctor may also treat individuals with muscle therapies such as myofascial release and assisted stretching.

Dr. Portolese’s purpose as a chiropractor is to help as many families as possible in their quest for optimal health and well-being. As a way of ensuring this goal, Dr. Portolese works diligently with her patients and consistently remains current with the latest advances in the care of the nervous system. Because she believes in supporting as well as serving the community of her family clientele, this chiropractor remains actively involved in charity events throughout the year, including her annual Food and Toy Drives as well as participating in Relay for Life and The Laurel House fund raisers. In recent years, she founded Kids Health and Safety Day, which benefits the local D.A.R.E. and Bicycle Safety Program. As a community service, she also gives educational health workshops on various topics for schools, corporations, civic organizations, etc. Furthermore, in her constant quest to educate and reach the public, Dr. Portolese performs complimentary spinal screenings in several convenient locations throughout the local area.

Personally, Dr. Portolese has been married for 16 years to her loving husband, Joe, and they have two sons. When she is not in the office, Dr. Portolese enjoys gardening, running and spending time with her family, especially during outdoor activities or watching her children play lacrosse.

The Doctor's Purpose
To love and serve my patients and the community by teaching the fundamental truths about chiropractic. To lead by example, motivate, inspire, and educate them about how their body has the ability to heal itself and express optimal health without drugs or surgery. To build health rather than treat disease. To show them that removing harmful subluxations prevents their nervous system from being inhibited from interference so the life force between the brain and body is unleashed. To help people unite mind and body through the body's own innate intelligence, allowing them to reach their God-given potential and purpose in life. Lastly, to empower myself in wellness so that through God's grace I may be of service to others.
